G is for Giving It Your All But Knowing When It's Time To Quit

G was suppose to be "games" (the board kind). You know, board games, like Monopoly, Candyland, and Shoots and Ladders.

Unfortunately, I'm in the process of a huge move because of my new job and unless I write the rest of my A to Z Challenge posts now and schedule them, I won't be able to finish the challenge.

However, I won't be able to interact with the bloggers who visit my posts and respond with visits to their blogs in a timely manner.

So that's why I think it would be best to pull out now. Perhaps next year, when things have settled down, I can pick up where I left off. Unless using the same theme twice is a faux pas. ^^;

I'll still visit those who comment on my posts and hopefully I'll get on the main A to Z list to visit others too.

F is for Field Trips

Note: I will be out of town until Sunday with no internet access. :( So I won't be able to visit or respond to comments until next week.

Who didn't love a good field trip as a break away from school? I remember trips to the park, zoo, apple orchard. The best ones were any that involved a long bus ride because the buses were always bouncy, especially in the back. It was like riding a roller coaster.

I remember one field trip to the police station, the officer had us corralled into an empty cell then locked us in. It was a joke but was scary enough that I still remember it to this day.

What was your favorite childhood field trip?

E is for Eating

Note: I will be out of town until Sunday with no internet access. :( So I won't be able to visit or respond to comments until next week.

EVERYTHING!

What is it with little kids and their ability to eat just about everything (minus certain kinds of veggies and other healthy things)? I remember being able to down sodas, candy, and salty chips without getting stomach aches or being afraid it'll go to my thighs. Maybe it was a mental thing. Then my friends and I would run around with all that food in our bellies. Yikes!

My weaknesses were Sour Punch Straws, and Ruffles Cheddar and Sour Cream chips. What were yours?

D is for Discovery Summer

Note: I will be out of town until Sunday with no internet access. :( So I won't be able to visit or respond to comments until next week.

I wasn't a big summer camp person but there was a kind of summer camp/school that I attended in third and fourth grade. It was at one of the local schools and we'd make crafts, cook things, and once a week we'd go on a field trip. The bird house I made is out in the garage somewhere. At the end of the camp, I brought a disposable camera to take pictures of all my friends and the teachers.

Summer camp yays or nays? Post 'em below if you've got a story to tell.

C is for Closet

A magical closet at that.

My friend's parents had a walk-in closet in their bedroom. We would play board games in there or turn out the lights and pretend we were being transported to a different world. It usually ended with her mom shooing us out.

I can't remember exactly where we went but I remember her invisible dog, Spot, was usually there to accompany us.

Ever build a time machine or find a portal to go to another world? If so, where did you go?
